ISLAMABAD – Ambassador of Algeria to Pakistan Brahim Romani had meeting with Pakistan’s Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja with focus on enhancing bilateral ties in the fields of information technology (IT), telecommunications, cybersecurity, and fostering startup ecosystems.
During the meeting, the minister stressed importance of Pakistan-Algeria ties, particularly in information technology and telecom sectors, expressing confidence that Algeria could benefit from Pakistan’s advancements in technology, and suggested the exchange of students, entrepreneurs, and startups as a way to strengthen ties further.
Pakistanui Minister proposed organizing specialized IT training programs for Algerian youth and highlighted the potential for collaborative ventures between both nations’ tech companies. She also recommended on joint working group focused on IT and telecommunications, with the goal of organizing seminars and events to promote innovation and partnerships between businesses from both countries.
Ambassador Brahim Romani welcomed the proposal, stressing Algeria’s interest in deepening its ties with Pakistan in these critical sectors. He commended Pakistan’s progress in IT and telecommunications and expressed optimism for future cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Imad Memon, Member of International Coordination at the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication.
