LAHORE – The Punjab government on Monday clarified that there is no restrictions on home delivery of food items from restaurants and food outlets in smog-hit Lahore and Multan.
As per the notification issued on November 15, the Punjab had imposed a complete ban on die-in at eateries after 4 pm and take-away after 8 pm in Lahore and Multan districts.
“It has been ordered in clause 7(vi) that there will be complete ban on dine-in including eatery’s car parking and services in restaurants after 4:00 pm and takeaway after 8:00 pm in territorial jurisdiction of District Lahore and Multan.
“It is hereby clarified that this ban does not include home delivery of food items from hotels, restaurants, fast food & other food outlets”, reads the notification issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on Monday.
Lahore still amongst most polluted cities despite reduction in smog intensity
