KARACHI – Schools in Sindh capital Karachi have been closed from November 19-22 amid stern security arrangments for International Defence Exhibition and Seminars (IDEAS) 2024.
The provincial government announced shutdown of schools in port city from November 19-22, 2024, in preparation for the 12th edition of International Defence Exhibition and Seminars (IDEAS) 2024.
Private Schools Directorate notified school closure near Karsaz and Sharah-e-Faisal areas as special traffic routes have been chalked out for IDEAS 2024.
Besides the closures of educational institutions, police in the country’s financial capital made special arrangements for four-day exhibition. IDEAS exhibition is set to start on Tuesday to showcase Pakistan’s domestic arms manufacturing capabilities while also allowing international vendors to present solutions for the country’s defense needs.
The event is touted to be major development occasion for Pakistan’s defense sector, drawing attention to its growing role in the global arms trade.
