KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan increased significantly in local market on Monday in line with rising global prices.
According to Sarafa association, per tola gold price moved up by Rs2,500 to settle at Rs269,900 whereas the price of 10-gram surged by Rs2,144 to reach Rs231,396.
The bullion rates in international market registered significant gains as per ounce price increased by $25 to settle at $2,587.
Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged at Rs3,250 per tola and Rs2,786 per 10-gram in local market.
On Saturday, gold price in Pakistan saw marginal losses, with 24-karat gold being hovering at Rs267,400 per tola, down Rs300 per tola.
The price of 24-carat gold plunged by Rs300, bringing the cost of one tola to Rs267,400 while price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs258, reaching Rs 229,252.
