CM marks King Charles III’s 76th birthday, emphasizes cultural bonds

Sindh Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah, expressed his delight at attending the 76th birthday celebration of King Charles III at the British Consulate. In his speech, he lauded the event for promoting British traditions, art, music, and the spirit of friendship. Upon his arrival at the British Consulate, the Deputy High Commissioner warmly welcomed the Chief Minister. During his address, Murad Ali Shah highlighted the strong cultural connection between Sindh’s rich heritage and global art forms, particularly music and poetry.

He stated that Sindh has long been a land of music, poetry, and art, and Sindhi artists have left an indelible mark on global music. He reiterated the government’s commitment to preserving this cultural legacy, mentioning initiatives like Sindhi Culture Day and various arts programs aimed at safeguarding the region’s heritage.

Murad Ali Shah emphasized that both Britain and Sindh share similar creative traditions that have significantly influenced global music and art. Reflecting on the importance of cultural exchange, he noted that such events foster new ideas, and through the exchange of talents and cultures, mutual respect and friendship flourish between nations.

Chief Minister conveyed warm birthday wishes from the people of Sindh to King Charles III on his 76th birthday and expressed hope for his continued health, peace, and happiness. He also stressed the significance of establishing strong cultural ties between Sindh and Britain. The celebration featured a rich display of music, art, and camaraderie, with individuals from various walks of life coming together to honor the spirit of cultural exchange. Upon reaching the British Consulate, CM Murad Ali Shah presented a bouquet to the Deputy High Commissioner, extending his congratulations on the occasion of King Charles III’s birthday.
