Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi, along with Deputy Commissioner Korangi Masood Bhutto and key industrial representatives, conducted a site visit to Korangi Industrial Area to review urban challenges and propose solutions. Addressing representatives at the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) office, he emphasized the government’s commitment to prioritize improvements in the city’s industrial zones.

During the visit, the commissioner toured areas within Korangi that require immediate attention for road repairs, traffic management, and removal of encroachments. “Industrial zones are integral to our economy, and we are dedicated to resolving the urban issues they face,” he stated, promising better coordination with industrial stakeholders to address hurdles related to parking, advertising taxes, trade taxes, and land utilization. Commissioner Naqvi pledged that every effort would be made to eliminate difficulties for industrialists, instructing the Deputy Commissioner to strengthen communication with local entrepreneurs and work collaboratively with municipal bodies.

A weekly review at the commissioner’s office will track anti-encroachment and urban issue resolutions, with efforts starting next week in Korangi and other areas. The Deputy Commissioner’s report indicated that initial encroachment removals have already commenced, including the elimination of illegal motor pumps, with future efforts to be coordinated in partnership with KATI.
