LAHORE – Chicken meat prices registered significant increase in Lahore and other cities of Punjab on Wednesday.
The chicken price increased by whooping Rs21, taking the per kilogramme rate to Rs511 as compared to previous Rs490.
The official rate list shows that price of live chicken moved up by Rs15 per kg, fixing the wholesale rate at Rs339/kg and retail price at Rs353/kg.
In Multan, the live chicken’s wholesale price stands at Rs322 per kg, while retail price has been fixed at Rs336/kg. The chicken meat is being sold for Rs485 per kg.
Per Dozen Eggs Latest Price in Lahore
The price of per dozen eggs has witnessed a slight increase of Rs2 as today’s rate has been fixed at Rs334 as compared to yesterday’s Rs332 per dozen.
In Multan, the price of per dozen eggs has been set at Rs330.
Cooking Oil, Ghee Prices Increase
Cooking oil and ghee prices increased massively in November 2024 in open market despite a decline in inflation rate.
Reports said the price of first-grade ghee and oil moved up by Rs54 per kilogramme while the prices of second and third-grade ghee and oil have been increased by Rs60 per kg.
The retail price of first-grade oil and ghee has surged from Rs505 to Rs559. The price of second-grade ghee, which was selling for Rs440, has increased to Rs500.
The retail prices of ghee range between Rs525 to Rs530 in various locations.
The price of second-grade oil, which was being sold for Rs452 per liter, has increased to Rs512, and in some places, it is being sold for Rs530 to Rs540.
