The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC), the management led by the CEO Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has achieved an unprecedented milestone, boosting its monthly revenue by 65 percent, bringing it beyond Rs. 1.86 billion—a historic figure for the corporation. KW&SC’s spokesperson revealed that monthly revenue in September 2022, before Ahmed’s tenure, stood at Rs. 1.1 billion. The substantial increase to Rs. 1.86 billion reflects the impact of modern reforms, strategic management, and the hard work of the entire team.
Speaking with Pakistan Observer, CEO Ahmed expressed his vision to ensure reliable public services through dedicated team efforts.
“We are committed to delivering uninterrupted services to the public and maximizing management’s potential,” he said. Ahmed added that KW&SC’s innovative network strategies will enable the corporation to reach new milestones. CEO Ahmed also praised the team’s dedication, emphasizing that this revenue growth will benefit not only the corporation but also its employees and residents of Karachi. With increased funds, KW&SC can further improve Karachi’s water and sewerage systems and complete ongoing projects on schedule. Ahmed reaffirmed his commitment to making KW&SC a model institution, saying, “Providing better water and sewerage facilities to the citizens remains our top priority.” The KW&SC spokesperson also urged all customers to promptly pay monthly bills and outstanding dues to support ongoing improvements in water and sewerage services.
