LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz reached Geneva, Switzerland, where she would undergo a medical examination with her personal doctors on Thursday.
CM Maryam traveled to Geneva on a special flight aboard the Air Force plane PFF-3.
After a few days in Geneva, the Punjab Chief Minister would head to London.
CM Maryam was under treatment at Sharif Medical City Complex Hospital for nearly 12 hours on Monday due to a severe throat infection, which led to her hospitalization.
She was placed on complete bed rest for three days, and her local doctors now gave her clearance for international air travel.
Due to health reasons, her departure abroad had been delayed twice over the past three days.
PML-N President and former three-time Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had already arrived in Geneva from London.
After her medical examination in Geneva, CM Maryam is expected to join her father and brothers for a week-long trip to the UK and other European countries. CM Maryam and Nawaz Sharif are expected to return to Pakistan together before mid-November.
