Sindh government has decided to launch a strict crackdown on vehicles with fake license plates, tinted windows, and public display of weapons. The decision was made during a high-level meeting on law and order, chaired by Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah. Attendees included the Home Secretary, IG Sindh, Additional IG Karachi, and representatives from Rangers, with divisional commissioners participating via video link. Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah directed authorities to intensify actions against fake license plates and tinted windows, stressing the importance of public awareness on tinted glass restrictions and the prohibition of weapon display. The Home Department was tasked with developing a comprehensive public awareness strategy and launching a media campaign to inform citizens about these regulations. To strengthen community surveillance, the meeting also resolved to establish neighborhood-level Community Watch Groups under the supervision of assistant commissioners.

These groups aim to enhance local vigilance and contribute to maintaining law and order across Sindh. Chief Secretary Shah underscored the need for all law enforcement agencies to actively ensure public safety, emphasizing coordinated efforts for effective enforcement.
