IDEAS 2024, the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar, is set to take place from November 19 to 22 at the Karachi Expo Centre, with preparations underway to ensure a memorable and impactful event.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah highlighted the exhibition’s role in strengthening Pakistan’s strategic partnerships and expanding commercial exchanges, stating it will bring together international delegates, defense experts, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Addressing the third steering committee meeting, which included representatives from the Armed Forces, provincial and federal departments, law enforcement agencies, and industry leaders, Mr.

Shah underscored the significance of IDEAS as a hallmark for defense industry advancements since its inception in 2000.

He praised IDEAS for fostering knowledge exchange and international cooperation in defense and security, and committed his government’s full support to the event.

The meeting also featured a second session led by Director General DEPO Major General Asad Nawaz Khan, who emphasized the finalization of security and support plans.

He highlighted that IDEAS 2024 will feature technology demonstrations, international seminars, cultural performances, and structured Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) opportunities for industry expansion.

Among other highlights, the Karachi Show is scheduled for November 21 at Sea View’s Nishan-e-Pakistan, exclusively for city residents.
