Muqam calls upon UN to ensure implementation of its resolutions on J&K dispute

Minister for Kashmir Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam on Saturday called upon the United Nations to ensure implementation of its resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir dispute and impress upon India to stop blatant violations of international laws in his regard.

Engineer Amir Muqam was addressing a news conference alongside Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders Muhammad Farooq Rehmani and other in Islamabad today. The Minister said it was on 27th October 1947 that Indian forces forcibly took control of Jammu and Kashmir without any legal justification. He said since then many UN Security Council Resolutions were passed in favour of the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir including the one which endorses the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

He said Pakistan has always been a staunch advocate of this indigenous right of Kashmiris living in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and has always supported them in this just struggle.

Amir Muqam said today (Sunday) the entire Pakistani nation will stand with their Kashmiri brethren to mark Kashmir Black Day to convey to the world that India had occupied Kashmiris’ motherland illegally. He said a rally will be taken out at 10:00 AM on Sunday in the federal capital to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Parliamentary Secretary for Kashmir Affairs Anwarul Haq Chaudhary and other Kashmiri leaders were also present at the press conference.
The Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engr Amir Muqam on the observance of Kashmir Black Day saluted the courage and valour people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), who had rendered countless sacrifices in their struggle for realization of the basic rights.
