President of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi Division, Saeed Ghani, announced a celebratory event at Mazar-e-Quaid on October 28 to mark the approval of the 26th Constitutional Amendment. He made this statement while presiding over a PPP Karachi Division meeting, attended by key figures including PPP Sindh General Secretary and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Syed Waqar Mehdi, Karachi Division General Secretary Javed Nagori, Information Secretary Asif Khan, and other officials from affiliated groups.

Ghani also noted that PPP Karachi Division will actively participate in a protest rally organized by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference on October 27, marking the anniversary of India’s actions in Kashmir.

The rally will proceed from the Arts Council to the Karachi Press Club, with PPP supporters from across the city joining to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people. The meeting also reviewed preparations for upcoming local by-elections in Karachi.

Representatives from various districts briefed the gathering on candidates and campaign efforts. Ghani instructed all district officials to intensify the election campaigns and encouraged the Women’s Division to help share the party’s message door-to-door.

Addressing the gathering, PPP Sindh General Secretary and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Syed Waqar Mehdi praised the large turnout of Karachi supporters at the October 18 rally in Hyderabad commemorating the Karsaz incident. Mehdi commended the dedication of Karachi party members in strengthening the party and delivering public services.
