Court remands suspected smuggler to judicial custody

The Court of Customs, Taxation, and Anti-Smuggling has remanded Dad Muhammad, son of Muhammad, to judicial custody. The court has directed the Superintendent of Central Prison, Karachi, to produce the accused before the court on November 16, 2024.

This move comes under the supervision of Director Masood Ahmed, along with Additional Director AfzaalWatto, Deputy Director AdarshJawahir, Superintendents Zia Moen and Muhammad Abid, and Intelligence Officer.Dad Muhammad operates buses and coaches between Quetta and Karachi for the purpose of transporting smuggled goods.Customs authorities have intensified their efforts against smuggling activities, particularly targeting passenger coaches operating between Quetta and Karachi, which have been found to be transporting smuggled goods. These enhanced measures are part of a broader strategy to curb illegal activities and ensure the enforcement of customs laws.
