ISLAMABAD – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman house remains in center focus as Constitutional Amendment talks are underway.

Ruling alliance seems under pressure as 26th Constitutional Amendment is intensifying with key leaders flock at Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s residence for negotiations. After a recent meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), a delegation from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) arrived at Maulana’s home for consultations aimed at building consensus.

Amid these talks, PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto interacted with Balochistan National Party leader Akhtar Mengal during this visit. He was accompanied by prominent party members including Naveed Qamar, Murtaza Wahab, and Sherry Rehman.

PTI delegation including Barrister Gohar, Salman Akram Raja, Asad Qaisar, and others, alongside Sunni Ittehad Council chief also had a political activity surrounding the constitutional amendment.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made a visit to Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s home without official protocol, but the talks ended without agreement. This prompted a stern reaction from Maulana, who warned that he might cease consultations if the government does not demonstrate seriousness in negotiations.

Before meeting with Maulana, the PPP delegation held discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House to strategize on the current political situation and coordinate their approach.

As political leaders continue to converge at Maulana’s residence, the outcome of these talks remains uncertain, but the urgency for consensus on the constitutional amendment is evident.
