ISLAMABAD – People across Pakistan previously observed a public holiday in the month of September 2024 on the account of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) to celebrate the birth anniversary of Holy Prophet.
Earlier this month, residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi got three consecutive local holidays (October 14 to 16) due to a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in the federal capital.
It is recalled that the federal government issued the public and optional holidays schedule in December 2023. The notification carries details regarding details of holidays for festivals of Muslims and minorities.at
The public holidays are announced to mark significant occasions across the year. As per the official notification for calendar year 2024, the next public holiday will be observed in next month, November.
Upcoming Public Holiday in Pakistan
The upcoming holiday will be observed across Pakistan in the month of November 2024. The government will declare a public holiday on November 9 on account of Iqbal Day.
On this day, tribute is paid to Allama Muhammad Iqbal, who is also known as poet of East. The Philosopher poet was born in Sialkot on November 9, 1877.
