ISLAMABAD – Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Wednesday criticized Jemima Goldsmith for expressing concern over the health of PTI founder Imran Khan.
Jemima Goldsmith, in a tweet on the social media platform X, expressed concern over Imran Khan’s safety and health, stating that there are serious and alarming issues regarding him in jail.
She added that Pakistani authorities have barred his family and lawyers from meeting him, and all court hearings have been postponed.
In response, Khawaja Asif replied to Jemima, stating that Imran Khan is being treated with continuous leniency, despite never showing any leniency to his opponents.
He pointed out that Nawaz Sharif was not even allowed to speak to his dying wife, Kulsoom Nawaz, on the phone, and several opposition leaders were jailed without any charges.
