ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and China expressed satisfaction with their strategic cooperative partnership in a delegation-level meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Premier Li Qiang held in Islamabad on Monday.

Both sides acknowledged that Sino-Pak partnership is growing stronger, emphasizing their commitment to advancing bilateral relations and addressing key regional and international issues.

Iron Friends reaffirmed mutual support on core matters and outlined plans for the high-quality development of the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The leaders stressed importance of timely completion of ongoing projects across various sectors, including industry, agricultural modernization, information technology, and science and technology, to enhance socio-economic development in Pakistan.

Prime Minister Sharif assured that Islamabad is dedicated to ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals and projects within the country. The two sides agreed to continue high-level exchanges aimed at reinforcing cooperation in diverse areas.

The meeting also covered the potential relocation of Chinese industries to Pakistan and explored strategies to increase Chinese investment in the nation. Both leaders emphasized the need for close consultation on multilateral forums and collaborative efforts on regional and global challenges.

This meeting marks a pivotal moment in Pakistan-China relations, showcasing both countries’ commitment to fostering a robust and mutually beneficial partnership.
