ISLAMABAD – Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram sparked new controversy as legendary player he signed up for an Indian betting and gambling company as a brand ambassador.

The ‘Swing Ka Sultan’ carries legacy of his iconic cricket career but he partnered with platform named Baji despite stern restrictions on promoting gambling companies.

As Wasim shared ad on social media platform, internet users were quick to raise legal and ethical questions as promoting gambling can have negative consequences, in countries like Pakistan. Surprisingly, former Mia Khalifa, and other players also joined the betting app.

The clip shared on his social sites shows Akram asking people to join the betting app for exciting experience, encouraging fans to rake in dough. He reiterated his sports achievement and lasting legacy in the brief clip.
