The twelfth day of the “World Culture Festival Karachi,” organized by the Arts Council of Pakistan, featured the thought-provoking theatre play Suicide Incorporated at Studio II. Directed by Rayyan Khan, the play captivated the audience with stellar performances from a talented cast, including Fahad Sheikh, Abu Bakar Khan, AshmalLalwany, Abdul Rehman, and Amar Bukhari.

The play’s mix of humor and emotional depth kept the audience engaged, with laughter echoing through the hall. Suicide Incorporated is set in a fictional company that specializes in writing suicide notes for clients.

The narrative takes an unexpected turn when Jafar, a new employee, joins the company with a secret agenda—to help people rather than profit from their despair. Jafar’s mission becomes complicated when he attempts to save a client named Nasir, forcing him to confront unresolved issues from his own painful past. The play skillfully blends humor with serious themes, highlighting the importance of empathy, human connection, and the power of understanding during life’s most difficult moments.

The actors’ performances brought out the essence of the story, leaving the audience with much to reflect on. The World Culture Festival Karachi continues to celebrate artistic and cultural diversity and will run until November 2, featuring a variety of performances, exhibitions, and events.
