Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa weather update; isolated rains likely

PESHAWAR – Rains are likely in Peshawar and at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over the western and upper parts of Pakistan.

Under these weather conditions, rains are likely at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battgram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Nowshera, Kohat, Bannu, Kurram and Waziristan on Tuesday night.

On Wednesday, dry weather is expected in most districts of the province. However, rains may occur at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbotabad and Kurram.

Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 30-32°C on Wednesday and 31-33°C on Thursday.

Meanwhile, rains occurred at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 51 per cent.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 31°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 78 per cent.
