Provincial Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani held a meeting with President of ZaraiTaraqiati Bank ,TahirYaqoob Bhatti to discuss the issues regarding Bank’s facilitate of microfinancing , financial and technical services for the farmers.
Provincial Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani mentioned that the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif is working day and night for the development and prosperity of the farmers, for which practical steps are being taken. Government has initiated the Kissan Card Flagship Program under which 5 lakh farmers will be provided an interest-free loan amount of 150 billion rupees. The amount will be given by Punjab Bank while the interest will be paid by the Punjab Government. Similarly, under the Green Tractor Scheme, the subsidy of Rs 10 lakh will be given per tractor by the Punjab government. He highlighted that the Punjab government has issued livestock card worth 4.5 billion rupees for the development of the livestock sector.
