CDA chairman reviews renovation work at Jinnah Convention Centre

ISLAMABAD – Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, visited Jinnah Convention Centre (JCC) on Sunday to review renovation work.

Member engineering and other relevant officers of CDA accompanied him during the visit.

Muhammad Ali Randhawa was briefed about the up-gradation and renovation at the JCC. Expressing satisfaction over progress, he directed completing remaining minor tasks at the earliest. He directed the handing over of the Jinnah Convention Centre to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) according to the schedule.

The Chairman examined the installation of state-of-the-art equipment and furniture including SMDs, modern conferencing systems, advanced lighting, high-speed internet, and sound systems. The facility is prepared for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.

In addition to reviewing the internal uplift and renovation work, Muhammad Ali Randhawa inspected the horticultural work around the JCC. He emphasized the importance of creating a welcoming environment for distinguished guests and dignitaries attending the high-profile event.

He said that the CDA is committed to enhancing Islamabad’s infrastructure and ensuring that the Jinnah Convention Centre meets global standards for hosting international events.
