Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa weather update; more rains, heavy falls likely

PESHAWAR – More rains with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday night and Monday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a shallow westerly wave prevails over the western and upper parts of Pakistan. It will likely strengthen tomorrow.
Under these weather conditions, rains are likely in Chitral, Dir and surroundings on Sunday night.

On Monday, more intermittent rains are likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Batgram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kohat, Hangu, Kark, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Kurram, Waziristan, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan. Heavy falls and hailstorms may occur at isolated places in southern districts during the period.

Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 30-32°C on Monday and 29-31°C on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, rains occurred in Peshawar and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. Hot and dry weather prevailed elsewhere in the province.

In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 31°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 44 per cent.
