Their decision to observe a “Day of Solidarity with Palestine” on October 7 is not just symbolic; it is an essential message of support to the Palestinian people enduring unimaginable suffering.

Government leaders should actively engage opposition parties, urging them to participate in this crucial dialogue. A united front will amplify our message and demonstrate the strength of our national resolve. The situation in Gaza, characterized by horrific violence and civilian casualties, is not an isolated issue. The situation now threatens to spill over into neighbouring countries, including Lebanon. The assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah only underscores the precariousness of the current geopolitical landscape.
