ISLAMABAD – The government of Pakistan announced to mark October 7 as Palestine Solidarity Day. to reaffirm Islamabad’s unwavering support for Palestinian people, who are facing Israel’s brutality and assault for one year.
In this regard, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, and representatives from various political parties, are set to attend This initiative includes an all-parties conference (APC).
The decision was reached during a meeting involving PM Sharif, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).
To facilitate the observance of this day, a committee has been formed, consisting of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Sherry Rehman, Saad Rafique, and Nayer Bukhari. This committee will organize a series of nationwide gatherings, seminars, and rallies to express solidarity with Palestine and condemn Israeli violence.
Bilawal Bhutto highlighted the urgent need for unity against the ongoing violence in Gaza, which he stated threatens regional stability. He urged Pakistanis to come together against imperialist and Zionist agendas.
Additionally, he commended both President Zardari and PM Sharif for their attendance at the APC, showcasing their commitment to the Palestinian cause. The meeting also acknowledged Jamaat-e-Islami’s supportive stance toward the plight of innocent Palestinians in Gaza and beyond.

Pakistani government and people continue to stand with global community in solidarity with the Palestinian People as it remains unresolved and that the Palestinian people have yet to achieve their inalienable right to self-determination, as outlined in UN resolutions.
The Asian nation also highlights importance of international accountability for the widespread violations of human rights and humanitarian law in the occupied territories.
The occasion also allowed Pakistan to reaffirm its commitment to a future where a viable, independent, and contiguous Palestinian state exists within pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
As Pakistan continues to advocate for rights of the Palestinians, world leaders must shoulder its responsibilities and work towards a fair resolution that ensures peace and stability in the Middle East.
