RAWALPINDI – Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation General Sergey Yurvavich Istrakov called on Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at the Joint Staff Headquarters, the military’s media wing said.
A statement issued by ISPR said both military leaders expressed satisfaction with positive trajectory of bilateral defence cooperation, and addressed evolving security situation in the region, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts to promote peace and stability.
General Istrakov commended professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged significant sacrifices made by Pakistani military personnel in the fight against terrorism. This meeting underscores the growing partnership between the two nations in the realm of defence and security.
