LAHORE – Pakistani passengers holding visit visas are now required to have a round-trip ticket from the same airline for travelling abroad.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) have sent letters to all domestic and foreign airlines, instructing them not to issue boarding passes to passengers with one-way tickets under any circumstances.
Compliance with these instructions has been made mandatory for passengers traveling to foreign countries, particularly Bangkok, Malaysia, and Dubai.
For round-trip tickets on visit visas, it is also necessary for the tickets from different airlines to have the same PNR (Passenger Name Record) number.
The letters emphasize that passengers with low profiles at the airport must be checked as per these instructions.
