PESHAWAR – Khyeber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur appeared in the court regarding a case of missing persons.

Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) Ihtiaq Ibrahim heard the case of missing persons, where the Chief Minister, along with the Advocate General and the Additional Chief Secretary appeared in person.
The CJ asked the Chief Minister about ongoing arrests despite bail, saying that court orders made it clear that no arrests should be made after the bail is granted. He added that families of missing persons approach the court for help. In response, the Chief Minister said he always opposed such matters.
The Chief Justice suggested that they could go to the Supreme Court for cancellation of bail, stating that people should not be abducted, noting that this is not the first incident and has occurred repeatedly. He emphasized that there would be no compromise on court orders.
The court remarked that they would reluctantly take action against the police officers, and instructed the Advocate General to submit a response, involving the CTD and police to address the matter collectively.
On this occasion, the CM requested the court to appoint a focal person, saying that he would work with the Advocate General to legislate on the matter.
