Sindh Governor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori welcomed both international and local businessmen at a reception hosted at the Governor House on Saturday, commending the International Memon Organization for organizing a business conference aimed at improving the economy. He praised the initiative to bring together Memon traders and investors from abroad in one venue. Governor Tessori highlighted the pivotal role the Memon community has played in Pakistan’s development and prosperity, noting their active involvement in social and welfare projects as a commendable example. He stressed the importance of their contributions in education, healthcare, and other social services. Governor Tessori further stated that over 3.5 million people have visited the Governor House, with 850,000 ration bags distributed among those in need. Additionally, he mentioned that 4,500 motorcycles have been distributed to victims of street crime.

To address the public’s issues, a “Bell of Hope” has been installed at Gate Number One of the Governor House, where individuals can present their problems for immediate resolution, while assistance is provided for those issues that require more time to resolve. Since taking office, he has initiated modern IT training courses for youth, with over 50,000 young people currently enrolled in these programs. Many of these trainees are now earning between $600 and $800 a month, with the potential to increase their income to 1.5 to 2 million rupees upon course completion. Tests for IT courses have also been conducted in Hyderabad, with 80,000 young participants. Plans are underway to start IT classes across the province. “My mission is to establish the province as a hub for IT,” he stated, adding that numerous public welfare projects under his initiative are ongoing, ensuring that ordinary citizens benefit significantly.
