Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, MunemZafer Khan has strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which have resulted in the deaths of over 500 civilians, including women and children. He emphasized that such aggression, supported by the United States and Western nations, is escalating alarmingly. Khan criticized the United Nations for its failure to halt Israeli aggression and protect Lebanese citizens from terrorism following the tragic events in Gaza.

He lamented the inaction of Muslim leaders and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), stating that most rulers in the Muslim world have exhibited apathy and cowardice. This lack of decisive action has emboldened Israel to attack Lebanon after Gaza, he noted. Khan called for unity and solidarity among the Muslim community, urging leaders to overcome their fears of America and Israel.

Khan further demanded that the Pakistani government take a proactive role in stopping Israeli aggression against Lebanon on an international level, advocating for a collective strategy through the OIC. He pointed out that the increasing aggression and terrorism from Israel should serve as a wake-up call for Muslim rulers globally. The recent Israeli onslaught in Gaza has resulted in a humanitarian crisis, and the continued attacks now extend to Lebanon. Khan warned that if this aggression is not curbed, no Muslim nation would be safe from becoming a target. He highlighted the urgency of the situation, stating,

“If leaders do not awaken now, when will they?” Khan also mentioned that it has been nearly a year since the outbreak of Israeli aggression in Gaza, where bombing has left schools, hospitals, and civilian populations vulnerable. Over 42,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed, including many women and children, with Israel continuously violating international laws and committing war crimes. With the recent escalation in attacks leading to 500 civilian casualties in Lebanon and over 1,800 injured, he condemned the threats issued by Israeli Prime Minister against Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and the assassination of former Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. Khan urged for immediate action and solidarity among Muslim nations to address this critical situation.
