KARACHI – Gold prices continued shattering records and it touched a new all-time high of Rs275,500 a tola on Wednesday.
Data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) shows price per tola climbed by Rs2,500, reaching Rs275,500, while 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,144, bringing the total to Rs236,197.
The price touched new high after a brief drop of Rs600 earlier this week in Karachi and other local markets of Pakistan.

Globally, gold price hovered around $2,660 per ounce, with US gold futures rising 0.2 percent to $2,682.10.
