Karachi to host world culture festival featuring 35 countries

President of the Pakistan Arts Council, Ahmed Shah announced that the ‘World Culture Festival Karachi’ is scheduled to take place from September 26 to October 30. He emphasized that this festival represents a significant step towards promoting cultural diplomacy and highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to peace and unity. Ahmed Shah stated, “Karachi is set to become a global cultural melting pot,” as the festival will bring together participants from 35 countries to showcase their rich cultural heritage.

The event will feature a diverse array of activities, including music, dance, art, and cuisine from various nations.”This event will not only promote cultural exchange but also foster unity and understanding among nations,” he added, noting that attendees can expect captivating performances by artists showcasing traditional music, dance, and theater at affordable ticket prices.

The festival will include participants from countries such as China, India, Japan, the UK, France, Australia, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, the UAE, Germany, Egypt, South Africa, and the USA, among others. Various venues across Karachi, including the Pakistan Arts Council, National Museum, Karachi Expo Centre, and Beach Luxury Hotel, will host the festival, with tickets available both online and at the venue. Shah highlighted that this initiative by the Sindh government marks a groundbreaking 35-day festival, a first-of-its-kind globally.

With full government support, the festival promises to offer an extraordinary experience filled with folk music performances, dance shows, art exhibitions, craft fairs, and food festivals. It will also provide a platform for 350 local artisans, musicians, and craftsmen to showcase their talents to a global audience. Shah assured that all necessary resources, infrastructure, security, and logistics have been mobilized to ensure the festival’s success, making it a beacon of Sindh’s cultural resurgence and a testament to its warm hospitality. “By hosting this unique event, Sindh is poised to set a new benchmark for cultural festivals worldwide and demonstrate to the world that Pakistan is a peaceful country,” Ahmed Shah said.
