CDA seeks architects’ input for innovative designs in its urban development projects

Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa met with a delegation of the Institute of Architects Pakistan (IAP) on Thursday and sought their cooperation for improving the urban development of the city and the architectural innovation and designs.

The delegation was led by the President of the IAP, Zulfiqar Ali accompanied by the Vice President and other senior members of the institute.

The delegation presented a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), outlining the future cooperation between IAP and CDA for urban development of the city and innovative designs.

The draft MoU outlines a shared vision for enhancing the architectural landscape and urban planning of the capital city. It was agreed to make collective efforts that will support sustainable urban growth, promote architectural innovation, and improve the quality of life.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that CDA always welcomes and supports such initiatives. He urged that a follow up meeting be arranged to discuss the practical steps for further proceeding in the matter.

The delegation underscored willingness to contribute expertise and resources towards elevating architectural standards in the city.

Both sides expressed their resolve to work together on initiatives that support sustainable urban development, promote architectural innovation, and improve the service delivery for residents of the federal capital.
