Flight attendants usually follow strict regulations about dress code as air carriers enforce codes of conduct to maintain a professional atmosphere, but recent directives of US-based Delta Airlines raised eyebrows.
The Airline with over 100,000 employees rolled out new guidelines for flight attendants, and “proper undergarments” segment remains in the limelight during the interview process.
It not only ends for the guidelines extend beyond clothing worn beneath outer clothes, as it addresses hair styling, nail art, and even body tattoos.
Delta Airlines New Dress Code
As per new directives, flight attendants must have natural color, styled conservatively, and long hair must be covered. Nails need to be clean, with only one polished. Tattoos must be covered by clothing or waterproof makeup, while bandages are thing of the past.
Delta Airline further restricted fro long flashy earrings, and other visible piercings, though one small nose stud is permitted. Fragrances should be used carefully.
The list does not ends here as applicants are required to wear skimpy skirts at or below knee length. Closed-toe shoes, such as flats or heels, are mandatory. For male candidates, they must wear tie with button-collared shirts.
