Sindh Government has taken decisive action following lapses in securing polio workers in Jacobabad. The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), and District Health Officer (DHO) of Jacobabad have been removed from their posts. An official notification has directed the SSP Jacobabad to report to the Central Police Office (CPO), while the DC Jacobabad is to report to the Services,General Administration, and Coordination Department (S&GAD).
The DHO has also been relieved of his duties due to failure in safeguarding polio workers. The Sindh Government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of polio workers and emphasized that any negligence in this critical area will not be tolerated.
