Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa weather update; rains, isolated heavy falls expected

PESHAWAR – Intermittent rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls are expected in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday night and Friday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely approach the upper and western parts of the country tonight.
Under these weather conditions, rains and gusty winds are expected in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Shangla, Batagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan and Sawabi on Thursday night.
On Friday, partly cloudy weather is expected in most parts of the province. More rains and gusty winds are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Batagram, Mohmand, Khyber, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan and Swabi.
Heavy falls and hailstorms may also occur at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during evening/night.
Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 35-37°C on Friday and 33-35°C on Saturday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 40°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 41 per cent.
