Massive decrease likely in petrol rates – Check expected petrol prices from Sept 16

ISLAMABAD – The federal government is expected to announce a massive decrease in petrol and diesel prices from September 16, 2024, in Pakistan amid declining inflation rate and global oil prices.

Reports said the petrol and high speed diesel prices are likely to be reduced by Rs12 per litre each while the rate of kerosene oil would be dropped by Rs8 per litre.

The final decision about decreasing the petroleum prices would be made after observing fluctuation in international market during September 12 to 14.

The government is expected to announce the new petrol prices on September 15 with new rates coming into effect from September 16.

Current Petrol Rates in Pakistan 2024

Currently, the per litre petrol rate stands at Rs259.1 while high speed diesel is available for Rs262.75 till September 15 in Pakistan.

Expected Petrol Rates in Pakistan From Sept 16

The new petrol price in Pakistan from September 16 is likely to be Rs247.1 per litre if Rs12 reduction is approved by the government for second fortnight of the month.

Similarly, the per litre diesel price is expected to be Rs25.75 if the government approves Rs12 per litre decline in its rates.
