In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Muhammad RizwanNiazi, Additional General Secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh, has expressed serious concerns over the deteriorating state of government schools in the province.
The letter highlights key issues that are severely impacting the quality of education for children, urging immediate government intervention. Niazi pointed out the alarming shortage of textbooks in government schools across Sindh, which has been raised by both parents and educators.
He noted that the unavailability of essential learning materials is disrupting students’ academic progress. He stressed the importance of timely textbook provision for the intellectual growth of students, warning that any delay directly affects education standards. In addition to the textbook shortage, Niazi drew attention to the lack of school furniture in many districts, where students are forced to siton the floor due to insufficient desks and chairs.
