The Knee Meeting, an international orthopedic conference accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, brought together around 500 delegates and over 12 faculty members from countries including the UK, Poland, Greece, Argentina, the UAE, the USA, and Ireland. The event, which has gained both national and international recognition, was the brainchild of Dr. Yasir Khan of YK Orthopaedics and Dr. Umer Butt of AO Hospital.
This year’s edition marked a significant milestone, with the group being invited to represent
Pakistan at the prestigious British Orthopaedic Association meeting later this month.The event featured an impressive lineup of local orthopaedic leaders, including Dr. Syed Imran Ali Shah (AO Hospital, Karachi), Dr. Zeeshan Khan (RMI Hospital, Peshawar), Dr. Mustafa Javed Bhali (Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad), Dr. Mujahid Jamil Khattak (Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi), Dr. Ahmed Shoaib (Saleem Memorial Hospital, Lahore), and Dr. Faisal Qamar (Saleem Memorial Hospital, Lahore).
The Knee Meeting is known for setting trends in the field by bringing top national and international experts under one roof, offering an unparalleled platform for local orthopaedic surgeons who may not have the opportunity to travel abroad.
