Federal Adviser Rana Sanaullah has clarified that former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif had never suggested excluding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from national dialogues.

While talking to a news channel, Sanaullah emphasized that Nawaz Sharif has consistently advocated for all political parties to come together, including during the October 21 meeting and internal party discussions.

Sanaullah criticized PTI Chairman Imran Khan for his repeated refusal to engage in talks, stating, “Every time Imran Khan spoke, he would declare his unwillingness to sit with Nawaz Sharif. In such cases, we are compelled to respond.”

Addressing the political situation in Balochistan, Sanaullah acknowledged Akhtar Mengal, leader of the Balochistan National Party, as a significant figure. He expressed regret that Mengal was not informed in time about the Apex Committee meeting in Quetta and noted the BNP leader’s longstanding dissatisfaction with the system, despite his participation in it.

Sanaullah also highlighted the strong ties between PML-N and other key political figures, including Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He pointed out that since 2014, Achakzai has consistently supported the PML-N government, and the two leaders have maintained a dialogue, even without formal negotiations.

Rana Sanaullah dismissed PTI’s contradictory statements about negotiations, noting that while PTI claims Achakzai has been mandated to negotiate, they simultaneously refuse to engage with PML-N and PPP.
