Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi, chaired crucial meeting on Wednesday to review arrangements for the EidMilad-un-Nabi celebrations. The meeting focused on ensuring that the 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal processions and events are conducted with reverence and respect. Commissioner Naqvi emphasized that the EidMilad-un-Nabi celebrations will be observed with devotion and respect. He assured that all necessary facilities will be provided to ensure the success of the celebrations.
The meeting was attended by religious scholars, community leaders, DIG Asad Raza, DIG Traffic Ahmed Nawaz, Deputy Commissioners, Town Administrations, Municipal Commissioners, Pakistan Rangers, Solid Waste Management Board, Water and Sewerage Corporation, AMC Cantonment Boards, and representatives from other relevant departments and K-Electric. Religious scholars and leaders expressed their commitment to celebrating EidMilad-un-Nabi with religious fervor and respect. They provided details on the arrangements for processions and gatherings from various locations.
It was decided that special cleanliness arrangements would be made along the routes of the processions and at the venues of the gatherings.
Priority would be given to ensuring water supply, street lighting, and meeting security requirements. The Commissioner instructed Deputy Commissioners to maintain strong communication with religious scholars, leaders, and organizers. He emphasized that the Deputy Commissioners should consult with these stakeholders and assist in providing all possible facilities.
