Provincial Minister for Energy, Development, and Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, announced the initiation of an IT training program designed to benefit 10,000 youth, with plans to expand this number to 100,000. The program aims to equip participants with advanced IT skills and provide initial employment opportunities. Minister Shah made these remarks during his visit to the 25th International IT & Telecom Show at Expo Center Karachi.
He commended the exhibition organizers, describing the event as a beacon of hope amidst the prevailing negative narratives about the youth.
Over 25,000 youth and business professionals have already attended the event, which features prominent domestic and international institutions including Iran, Saudi Arabia, China, Turkey, and Australia, as well as major brands like Huawei, Google Cloud, and TP-Link. Shah praised the Sindh government’s IT department for its efforts under Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s direction and emphasized that modern IT training is crucial for the youth’s future. He assured continued support from the Sindh government, acknowledging the talent among the youth and expressing optimism about Pakistan’s future.
The minister also visited stalls from Iran and NRTC, commending their contributions and thanking them for their participation. The event saw a positive response from attendees, with many youth expressing their enthusiasm through selfies and interactions with the Minister. Nasir Hussain Shah expressed his admiration for the skills and presentations of the youth and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting their development.
