RAWALPINDI –  Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Monday expressed concerns about rats’ infestation in her cell at Adiala Jail.

The disclosure about the rates in Bushra Bibi’s cell came to record during hearing of a case regarding 190 million-pound reference case.

“There are rats in my cell,” said Bushra Bibi while explaining the whole situation before the judge who was hearing the case at Adiala jail.

The defense lawyers were absent which prevented the 10th consecutive cross-examination of the witnesses. The court, however, adjourned the hearing and granted the defense lawyers another opportunity to cross-examine the witness.

Bushra Bibi said that the rat problem had been there for the last three months.

At this, the judge summoned the jail officials and asked them about the problem in Bushra Bibi’s cell. On it, Deputy Superintendent Tahir Siddique Shah told the court that they had not been aware of such problem.

However, he assured the court that it would be addressed soon.
