Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori held a press conference at the Governor’s House on Friday to announce the results of the IT test conducted in Hyderabad. The test, which was part of the Governor’s Initiative, saw 80,000 youth participating in free IT courses at Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad. Of these, 54,000 passed the test. Successful candidates will enroll in advanced IT courses covering Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse, and Web 3.0 under the Governor’s Initiative. Governor Tessori announced that those who did not pass will be given another opportunity.

He also stated that registration for IT courses in Sukkur will begin soon, with plans to expand the program across the province.

The goal is to make the province a hub for IT education. Tessori highlighted that currently, trainees are earning between $600 to $800 a month, with some increasing their earnings from $150 to $250. If one million youth start earning $1,200 a month, it will significantly boost the country’s foreign exchange reserves. The Governor mentioned that the Army Chief’s recent speech had also inspired the IT students at the Governor’s House, who expressed a desire for the Army Chief to visit them.

He thanked various philanthropists, including national hero Arshad Nadeem, FPCCI, SyednaMufaddalSaifuddin, and others, for donating 100 laptops to the IT students. Governor Tessori revealed that a Memorandum of Understanding with Google will be signed within two weeks, aiming to provide Google certification to every IT student. He acknowledged requests from youth across various cities for the establishment of more campuses and assured that the IT courses are non-political and aimed at the country’s prosperity. He urged other Governor’s Houses to support similar initiatives.

In response to another query, the Governor announced that significant investments and external orders, including rice export orders from Iran, Oman, and other countries, are expected in the coming months. He also mentioned the ongoing distribution of rations, which has been in place for 22 months, and expressed gratitude to all contributors. Tessori reiterated his mission to strengthen Pakistan, stating that new initiatives will continue to emerge.
