Natasha Danish Iqbal

Natasha Iqbal, the driver of the vehicle and wife of prominent businessman Danish Iqbal, was taken into police custody on a one-day physical remand. Natasha is a resident of Karachi’s KDA Scheme-I, is also a board member of Metro Power Company Limited, where her husband is Chief Executive.

The incident sparked widespread criticism on social media, with people claiming that Natasha is being treated differently due to her status. Some social media users allege that despite being responsible for two deaths, Natasha is being treated differently while she also skipped court proceedings.

A case was filed at Bahadurabad Police Station against Natasha. Eyewitnesses claimed she was intoxicated and attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by bystanders and handed over to the police.

Natasha was charged under various sections of PPC, as she spent night at home rather than in police custody. She was later stopped from leaving the country and brought back to the police station.

As per the lawyer, Natasha was on medication for mental stress, with her lawyer arguing she was not fully aware of her actions.
