ISLAMABAD – Rat infestation has become real trouble and the government is taking stern measures to deal with this issue.
In this regard, Capital Development Authority (CDA) set aside over Rs12lac budget annually to address the growing problem.
Such rodents have become serious concern, particularly in ceilings of national legislature, where they have been damaging key files in Senate and National Assembly offices.
To address this issue, Capital Development Authority developed plan that includes hiring trained hunting cats specifically to catch the rats. In addition, special mouse traps will be installed to keep the rodents out of offices. Private sector firms are being approached to help with eradication efforts.
Rat infestation already caused significant damage, including the destruction of several office files in the lower house of parliament.
Rat infestation is a frustrating issue that includes high number of rats causing damage and health risks. To manage it, look for signs like droppings and nests, inspect areas where rats might enter or nest, prevent infestations by sealing entry points and keeping food sealed.
