The development comes after federal government introduced 3-month relief program for electricity lifeline consumers using up to 200 units per month.

Former PM also highlighted new initiative spearheaded by his daughter CM Maryam Nawaz about “Roshan Gharana” program, which will offer free solar panels to households using up to 200 units and subsidized panels to those using up to 500 units.

The government will cover 90% of the cost, with consumers required to pay just 10% and repay through an interest-free five-year loan.
