ISLAMABAD – People across Pakistan recently observed a public holiday in the month of August on the account of Independence Day to celebrate the independence of the country.

The federal government issued the public and optional holidays schedule in December 2023. The notification carries details regarding details of holidays for festivals of Muslims and minorities.

The public holidays are announced to mark significant occasions across the year. As per the official notification for calendar year 2024, there is no more public holiday in the month of August 2024 in Pakistan.

Upcoming Public Holiday in September 2024 in Pakistan

The upcoming holiday will be observed across Pakistan in the month of September 2024. The government will declare a public holiday on 12 of Rabiul Awwal on account of Holy Prophet’s birthday. This year the 12 Rabiul Awwal is expected to be observed on September 16.

However, the final decision will be taken following the sighting of the Rabiul Awwal moon.
