During a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, members of the federal cabinet reaffirmed their commitment to national stability and expressed their readiness to sacrifice everything for the country’s well-being.

The cabinet meeting also discussed preparations for celebrating Independence Day with enthusiasm and a renewed pledge to transform the nation into the Pakistan envisioned by its founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasised the need for all sectors of society to work tirelessly to make Pakistan stronger. “We will sacrifice everything for national stability, and, Insha’Allah, this country will become Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan,” he stated.

He highlighted the importance of reducing production costs to revitalise key sectors such as industry, agriculture, and trade. “Efforts in the power and energy sectors will benefit the nation,” the prime minister added.

Shehbaz Sharif also praised Olympian Arshad Nadeem for doubling the joy of Independence Day celebrations with his historic gold medal win at the Paris Olympics. “Nadeem is an exemplary figure for the nation,” he remarked, noting that his dedication and perseverance have elevated Pakistan’s name on the global stage.

The cabinet expressed admiration for Nadeem and has recommended him for a presidential award. The prime minister has also invited Nadeem to the Prime Minister’s House to highlight the importance of honouring national heroes.

In his address, the prime minister discussed the steps taken to improve the economy, including efforts in the energy sector. He stressed the need to reduce production costs to boost exports and make them more competitive.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasised the importance of the Federal Board of Revenue in improving tax collection and ensuring financial stability. He urged ministers to eliminate delays in decision-making and to continue efforts to digitise governance, aiming to make all ministries paperless.

He concluded by urging the cabinet to work collectively towards a stable Pakistan, reiterating their commitment to sacrifice for the country’s future.

Shehbaz Sharif said the nation will celebrate Independence Day in a befitting manner with national zeal and fervour today, Wednesday.

He said on this day we will reaffirm our pledge to remain steadfast and serve the country with utmost devotion and dedication.

He appreciated the hard work and efforts of Minister of Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari for bringing improvement in the power sector.

The Prime Minister directed that every Ministry should go paperless, as success is unattainable without embracing innovation. He said we will have to come up with innovative programs and decisions to enlighten hope in the nation.

The Prime Minister said the stay sought by some FBR officers has been vacated because of the proactive approach of the government.

The Cabinet also offered fateha for the departed souls of Deputy Commissioner Panjgur Zakir Baloch and Shaheed Lieutenant Uzair Mehmood Malik for sacrificing their lives for the country.
